Murder suspects still held after Openshaw body find

Detectives have been given more time to question a man and woman arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found at a house in Manchester.

Police responded to reports of a burglary at a house in Openshaw on Thursday night.

Inquiries led officers to discover the body at a different address in Victoria Street.

A man, 50, and a 32-year-old woman are being held on suspicion of murder.

The results of a post mortem examination into the cause of death were inconclusive and further toxicology tests will be carried out, police said.
