Manchester Tiger Tiger workers held over immigration

Six suspected illegal immigrants have been arrested in Manchester in raids by the UK Border Agency.

Officers visited Tiger Tiger in The Printworks on Withy Grove at 08:00 BST to question staff and ensure they had right to be in the UK.

Three Jamaican women, two Jamaican men and one Nigerian man were found to be working illegally.

Five of the six people arrested in the restaurant are still in detention pending removal from the UK.

One 79-year-old Jamaican man who was also found to have overstayed his visa was released on immigration bail.
