Cyclist killed in crash with car in Manchester
A 26-year-old cyclist has been killed in a crash with a car in Manchester.
Cyclist Leejay Pollard was in a collision with a Vauxhall Astra in Waterloo Street, Crumpsall, at about 15:00 BST on Thursday.
Mr Pollard, of Cheetham Hill, was taken to hospital but died of his injuries shortly afterwards, Greater Manchester Police said.
A 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been bailed, a spokesman added.
Sgt Lee Westhead said: "An investigation is now under way to establish the cause of this tragic collision.
"I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or the events immediately before or after to come forward and assist us."
