Inquiry after Taser used on boy, 16

A decision by police to use a Taser on a 16-year-old boy while arresting him in Manchester is under investigation.

The incident happened when officers arrested the teenager at an address on Aldfield Road, Northern Moor.

They had been called to reports of a domestic dispute and arrested him on suspicion of assaulting officers.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission is supervising the inquiry by Greater Manchester's Police Professional Standards branch inquiry.

The Crown Prosecution Service subsequently decided no action would be taken against the teenager following the incident in June.
