Girl befriended then raped by man in Greater Manchester
A 17-year-old girl was befriended and then raped by a man in Greater Manchester, police have said.
The girl was upset following an argument when the man, thought to be in his 30s, tried to comfort her in Blackley early on Thursday morning.
Police said he befriended the girl, then led her to Wildflower Meadow on Victoria Avenue, at about 08:00 BST, where the assault took place.
They have asked anyone with any information to contact them.
The offender was described as white, with brown eyes, of slim to medium build and wearing a grey hooded jumper.
Det Con Paul Wilde said: "The girl was upset following an argument and somewhat tired having been up all night and this man has taken full advantage and led her to a secluded meadow where he attacked her."
