Man arrested in Kieran Large Wigan murder inquiry

Detectives have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after the body of a 25-year-old man was discovered at a house in Wigan, Greater Manchester.

Kieran Large was found dead by police at an address on Richmond Drive, Leigh, on 19 September.

A post-mortem examination concluded that he died of internal injuries, which were "consistent with an attack".

The 30-year-old man who was arrested is being held in police custody for questioning.

Police have appealed for witnesses and are trying to trace Mr Large's family.

Det Insp Ian Fields said: "It is important we establish everything that happened to Kieran in the days and weeks leading up to his death.

"We are also actively trying to find Kieran's family and I would ask that if anyone is reading this appeal and if you knew Kieran, or are a family member who has not seen him for some time, that you call us.

"At this stage, we do not have many details about his family, but Kieran is someone's son and we need to speak to his family so we can talk to them about his sad death and also build up a picture of who he was."
