Man charged with murder at Hobson Court, Audenshaw

A 60-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in Greater Manchester.

Police were called to a house in Hobson Court, Audenshaw shortly after 14:30 BST on Sunday following reports of an assault on a man.

David Courtney, 74, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries and died in the early hours of Monday.

James Shingler, 60, of Hobson Court, has been charged with murder and was due to appear at Tameside magistrates.
