Wildflower Meadow rape: Police end inquiry

Police have said they are no longer investigating an accusation of rape in a meadow in Manchester.

A 17-year-old girl told police she was led to Wildflower Meadow in Victoria Avenue, Blackley, and raped at about 08:00 BST on 15 September.

Greater Manchester Police issued an appeal, asking anyone with any information to contact them.

A spokesman for the force said detectives had established the girl consensually committed a sex act.
