Swiss man's grooming charge after Manchester Airport arrest
A Swiss man has been charged with sexually grooming a boy aged under 16 after being arrested at Manchester Airport.
Edwin Hofmann, 44, from Switzerland, was stopped by Greater Manchester Police at the airport on Wednesday.
Swiss authorities had contacted the force with information that a man may be flying to Manchester to commit a sexual offence against a child.
Mr Hofmann was arrested as he picked up his luggage in the baggage area.
He is due to appear at Trafford Magistrates Court on Friday.
