Teenager held over Middleton taxi driver knife attack

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an attack on a 39-year-old cab driver who had his throat slit and his car stolen in Middleton.

The attack happened on Tuesday evening at the Stakehill Industrial Estate and the man was taken to hospital but later discharged.

The car, a black Vauxhall Vectra, was driven from the scene by the offender, who hit a parked car.

Police said the boy was arrested late on Wednesday evening in Parkfield.
