Teenager charged over Middleton taxi driver attack
A 16-year-old boy has been charged after a taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint in Manchester.
Police said the 35-year-old driver had his takings stolen after taking two people posing as customers to Middleton in the early hours of Monday.
The teenager has been charged with robbery, possession of a bladed article and aggravated vehicle-taking.
He has also been bailed over another incident in which a taxi driver had his throat cut during a robbery in his car.
It happened on Tuesday evening at the Stakehill Industrial Estate in Middleton.
The 39-year-old driver was attacked before his black Vauxhall Vectra was stolen.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
