Dawn Makin accused of murder of daughter Chloe Burke
A woman from Bury has appeared in court accused of the murder of her four-year-old daughter.
Chloe Burke was stabbed to death on 17 February. Dawn Makin, 34, who works as a nurse, was found at the scene and has been in hospital since the incident.
She was in a wheelchair for her appearance during a brief hearing at Manchester City Magistrates' Court.
No plea was entered and she was given bail to live at Floyd Unit, Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale.
Ms Makin appeared before Judge Andrew Gilbart, Recorder of Manchester, sitting at the magistrates court.
She will appear for a preliminary hearing at Preston Crown Court on 9 January.
