Shots fired at house in Middleton, Greater Manchester

Shots have been fired at a house in Greater Manchester.

Police were called to the property on Boardman Lane in Middleton at about 23:25 GMT on Monday.

Shots had been fired at the front door, front window and a car in the shooting. People were in the house at the time but no-one was injured.

Greater Manchester Police said the victim does not know the motive for the attack. It is not known if one gunman or more were involved.

Det Con Crystal-Dee O'Hara said: "We are treating this as an isolated incident.

"I wish to reassure the community that extra patrols are in place."
