Man bailed over toddler death in Ashton-Under Lyne

A man arrested following the death of a young girl in Greater Manchester, has been released on police bail.

Roxie Jo-Anne Archer, two, was reported to have fallen downstairs and suffered a head injury on Saturday. She was taken to hospital but died on Sunday.

A post-mortem examination found that Roxie, of Elizabeth Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, died of head injuries.

The 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was bailed until May, said Greater Manchester Police.
