Four arrested over BB gun in Oldham street
Four people have been arrested after reports a group of men were seen brandishing a gun in an Oldham street.
Greater Manchester Police said armed response officers were sent to Milne Street, Chadderton at about 04:00 GMT.
Two men aged 27, 25 and two teenagers 19 and 17 were arrested on Garforth Street on suspicion of firearms offences. A BB gun, was also recovered.
Det Supt Daniel Inglis said "it is not acceptable for anyone to roam the streets with any kind of weapon".
He continued: "Whilst we now know the weapon is an imitation firearm, members of the public who saw the offenders in the area brandishing it would have been none the wiser."
