Manchester canal death: Second arrest in murder inquiry

A second person has been arrested by police over the death of a man whose body was found in a canal in Manchester city centre.

The body of Simon Brass, 40, who lived in the Salford area, was discovered in a stretch of water near Canal Street shortly before 13:50 BST on Saturday.

A 21-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.

A 14-year-old boy, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, remains in police custody.

A post-mortem examination found Mr Brass had died from drowning.
