Anuj Bidve murder trial: Jury goes out

The jury in the trial of a man accused of murdering Indian student Anuj Bidve has retired to consider its verdict at Manchester Crown Court.

Kiaran Stapleton, 21, admits shooting the Lancaster University postgraduate in Salford on 26 December 2011 but denies murder.

The court has heard Mr Stapleton walked up to Mr Bidve in Ordsall, asked for the time and fired without warning.

Mr Stapleton's guilty plea to manslaughter was rejected by the CPS.
