Charge over arson attack on car in Oldham

A man has been charged with arson after a car was torched in Oldham in the early hours of New Year's Day.

The car was set alight on Firswood Drive, Royton, Greater Manchester, on 1 January.

Liam Siddall, 27, of Seatoler Court, Oldham, is due to appear at Oldham Magistrates' Court charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

Police are continuing to investigate after seven other cars were set on fire in the Royton and Shaw area.
