Second arrest after Wigan car keys stabbing

A second suspect is being held after a man was repeatedly stabbed outside a house by two men demanding the keys to his Mercedes car, police have said.

The 59-year-old victim was attacked as he walked out of a relative's house in Worcester Avenue in Hindley, Wigan, at 09:55 GMT on Sunday.

Two men, both aged 26, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, officers said.

The victim remains in hospital in a serious condition.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
