Heroin worth £250,000 seized by police in Rochdale

Heroin with an estimated street value of £250,000 has been seized by police in Greater Manchester.

The drugs were found after police officers executed search warrants at four addresses in Rochdale earlier.

A man was arrested a man on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with the intent to supply.

Greater Manchester Police Insp Umer Khan said: "This seizure is huge and thankfully we have been able to prevent these drugs from hitting the streets."

Raids were carried out at four addresses on Oswald Street, Hamer Lane and Selby Street.
