Two men stabbed in Oldham town centre

Oldham stabbing scene A 40-year-old man who was injured has been arrested on suspicion of assault

Two men were seriously injured when they were stabbed in a Greater Manchester town centre.

Police were called to Yorkshire Street in Oldham at 02:30 BST and the road has been sealed off.

A 29-year-old suffered serious neck injuries while a 40-year-old man received hand wounds, police said.

The 40-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of assault. Detectives said they were trying to determine whether it was a fight or assault.

They asked for witnesses to come forward.
