Man on Chester attempted murder charge

A 22-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Chester.

The victim, aged 35, was stabbed in the chest as he walked along City Walls at about 21:30 BST on Monday.

Police said he remained in a stable condition in hospital.

Philip Green has been remanded to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on 26 October. Police are urging anyone with information about the attack to contact them.
