Greater Manchester Police car overturns on 999 call

Rochdale crash scene Police said nobody was hurt in the crash.

A police car has overturned after it crashed answering a 999 call in Greater Manchester.

The marked police Ford Focus collided with a silver BMW on Manchester Road at the junction with Rochvalley Way, Rochdale, just after 12:30 GMT.

The BMW driver, a man believed to be in his 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and is being questioned by officers.

A Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman said nobody was hurt in the crash.
