Man held over body found in Walkden flat

Stocks Court, Walkden Officers investigating a crash which happened on Walkden Road found the body

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found in a Greater Manchester flat by police investigating a car crash.

Police found the body of a 62-year-old man at a property on Stocks Court, Walkden at about 20:30 GMT on Thursday.

Police said officers had been looking into a traffic collision which happened on Walkden Road earlier that day.

A post-mortem examination was not able to establish the cause of the man's death.

The arrested 44-year-old remains in police custody.
