Police are treating the death of a man whose body was found in a Manchester canal as "not suspicious".

The man, thought to be in his 30s, was discovered in Ashton Canal, near Store Street and Great Ancoats Street, on Friday morning.

Detectives started an investigation into how the man, who has not been formally identified, died.

They believe no-one else was involved in his death and have passed their file to the coroner.
