Horses killed in arson attack on Bolton stables

Two horses have been killed in a "deliberately started" fire at a stables in Bolton, police have said.

Greater Manchester Police said the fire at the stables off Ashworth Lane began between 04:30 and 05:00 BST, destroying a block housing the horses.

Det Con Dave Harris said the horses' owner was "understandably very disturbed".

He added that officers were working with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service to investigate the blaze.
