Rochdale stabbing: Matthew Graham remanded in custody

A man accused of attempting to murder a woman who was left with a knife in her neck has been remanded in custody after appearing in court.

Bury and Rochdale Magistrates' Court also heard Matthew Graham, 29, of Burnsall Grove, Royton, is accused of attempted robbery.

He has also been charged with possessing an offensive weapon.

A 30-year-old woman was knocked to the ground and stabbed on Thursday evening in Rochdale.

Mr Graham's next court appearance is at Manchester Crown Court on 21 May.
