Salford car crash: Man in court over two deaths

A man has appeared in court charged with causing two deaths in a car crash in Salford.

Aaron Jones, 19, of north Manchester, and his passenger Amy Hobson, 22, from Salford, died in a three-car collision on East Lancashire Road on Sunday.

Carl Wood, 27, from Farnworth, is charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

Manchester City Magistrates' Court remanded him in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court on 8 July.
