Two in court after weapons 'arsenal' found in Oldham raid

Two people have appeared in court after an "arsenal" of weapons including a loaded Mach-10 machine gun and a loaded pistol were found in an Oldham house.

Police also found a "large quantity" of cannabis during the raid on Monday.

Martin Burgess, 33, and Jodie Bell, 31, both of Oldham, are charged with firearms offences, possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply and money laundering.

At Oldham Magistrates' Court, Mr Burgess was remanded in custody.

Ms Bell was granted bail. Both will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on 17 July.
