Bury cannabis arrests: £500,000 of plants found

Four people have been arrested after cannabis plants with a street value of £500,000 were found in Bury.

Police said a large cannabis farm containing over 2,500 plants was found at York Street Mill on Tuesday.

Four men, aged 23, 27, 28 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis, Greater Manchester Police said.

The operation was part of Programme Challenger, targeting drug dealing and organised crime, a spokesman said.
