He was remanded in custody on Thursday, but his bail was approved at a Manchester Crown Court hearing earlier.

The 21-year-old from Urmston is next due before magistrates on Thursday.

After starting his career with Manchester United's youth teams, he was sold to West Ham in January 2012.

The midfielder, who has also played on loan for QPR and Birmingham City, has four England Under-21 caps.
