Sakura Deansgate Locks fight: Man injured as 40 brawl at bar
A man suffered puncture wounds to the torso after up to 40 people brawled at a Manchester bar, police have said.
The 20-year-old was taken to hospital after the disturbance outside Sakura on Deansgate Locks at about 02:50 BST.
Police said it was believed a fight started in the bar "before spilling out on to the street and escalating".
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly, while a 20-year-old man was held for a public order offence.
Greater Manchester Police said the majority of those involved had dispersed by the time officers arrived.
Det Sgt Phil Marsh said police did not know what sparked the fight "but it would have been scary for anyone caught up in it".
He said officers were "trying to establish if any weapons were used [in what] was a serious disorder that we are determined to investigate fully".
"If you were there and saw what happened - or got caught up in the violence inadvertently - then please call the police," he added/
The injured man was treated in hospital for minor injuries and has been discharged.
