Police are reviewing CCTV footage of a suspected "targeted" drive-by shooting outside a bar in Manchester city centre.

Two people were seen riding away on a motorbike after the entrance of the Living Room in Deansgate was damaged at about 21:00 BST on Thursday.

No-one was injured. The motorbike was found burnt out in Brotherton Drive in the Trinity area of Salford.

Police said the "pillion passenger fired shots" before the bike sped off.

Ch Insp Gareth Parkin: "Two people riding a motorbike were seen driving along Deansgate and stopping outside the club.

"The pillion passenger fired shots towards the entrance of the club and then sped off along Deansgate.

"We believe this was a targeted attack, however it is isolated."

Officers are not linking it to the death of Kieran McGrath, 26, who drove to Ashton-under-Lyne police station after being shot in a "targeted attack" on Saturday.
