Jet2 flight turns back after problem with door

A holiday flight returned to Manchester Airport shortly after take off because an "irritating whistling noise" was heard coming from a door.

The Jet2 flight LS831 had taken off from Manchester at 09:57 BST and was travelling to Palma, Majorca.

An airline spokesman said the decision was taken to change the aircraft for the comfort of people on board.

Manchester Airport said the aircraft landed safely and there was no danger to the 147 passengers.
