Three shotguns have been stolen from a house in Rochdale, prompting a police appeal.

The licensed weapons - two Berettas and a 12-bore single shotgun - were taken from the home in Manchester Road, Castleton.

An expensive Movado watch was also stolen in the burglary, which happened on Friday night.

Det Insp Denise Pye, of Greater Manchester Police, appealed for the public's help in finding the guns.

"While they are registered and licensed to the owner, in the wrong hands they could cause untold damage or serious injury and it is imperative that we locate them," she said.
