Tameside police seize cocaine and £100k in cash

Cocaine and up to £100,000 in cash has been seized by police targeting organised crime across Greater Manchester.

Officers targeted several addresses in the Dukinfield and Ashton-under-Lyne areas of Tameside on Thursday morning.

Two men, aged 29 and 26, were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

A 29-year-old woman was also held on suspicion of money laundering. All remain in police custody.

Det Con Joe Harrop, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to appeal directly to the people of Tameside that if they have information about people dealing drugs in their area, that they come forward and tell us."
