A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a shopkeeper who was shot dead during a robbery at his Manchester store.

Father-of-three Pragaret Singh, 35, was found with stomach and chest wounds at Manchester Food Traders in Wood Street, Openshaw, on Friday evening.

Mr Singh was locking up the family business when he was attacked.

Police said Mr Singh was carrying "thousands of pounds" of takings from the business when he was attacked.

The arrested man is currently being questioned by detectives.
