Sandy Lane collision: Driver dies in early morning crash
A driver has died in an early morning collision between two cars in Rochdale.
Emergency services were called to the crash between a white Audi A6 and grey Audi A5 on Sandy Lane in Bamford at about 04:40 GMT.
The 25-year-old driver of the grey car was pronounced dead at the scene. Four men in the white car, aged 18 to 21, were taken to hospital for treatment.
Two men seen in a silver taxi near the scene "might hold vital information" about the crash, police said.
The road was closed at the junction with Bury Road to allow an investigation to be carried out.
