Middleton pub death: Second man held after man hit by car

A second man has been arrested over the death of a man who was allegedly pushed in front of a car outside a Greater Manchester pub.

The 28-year-old victim, who has not been named, died in the early hours of Sunday outside The Carters Arms pub on Manchester Old Road in Middleton.

Police believe he was pushed into the car's path after being involved in "an argument [that] got out of control".

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 31-year-old man arrested, also arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, remains in police custody.
