CCTV images of two men thought to be involved with the sexual assault of a woman by a group wearing Halloween masks have been released by police.

Four youths wearing Scream-type masks attacked the 22-year-old on Sunningdale Road in Denton, Greater Manchester at about 19:00 GMT on 31 October.

After being dragged to the ground and sexually assaulted, the woman fought off the gang and raised the alarm.

Police have asked anyone who recognises the two men to get in touch.

The CCTV footage, timed at about 18:25, was taken from in front of a shop about 1.5 miles (2.5km) away from where the attack happened.

Police said those involved in the attack were described as teenagers, one being tall and wearing white trainers and another being chubby in his early teens.

Det Sgt Dave Donlan said the woman had "suffered a horrible ordeal".

"This woman went through hell that night and we need to find those responsible," he said.

"Justice is the least she deserves. I would therefore reiterate that if anyone does know something, please come forward and talk to us."
