Crumpsall murder: Victim named as Ujjal Singh

A man who died after he was stabbed at a house in Manchester has been named as 63-year-old Ujjal Singh.

A murder investigation was launched after Mr Singh was found in Lidiard Street, Crumpsall, at about 01:20 GMT on Monday.

Police were called after reports of a man being attacked at a house.

Mr Singh died at Manchester Royal Infirmary, and a post-mortem examination later revealed the cause of death was a wound to the neck.

Two men, aged 37 and 53, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The 47-year-old was arrested on Monday and has been released on bail until February. The second suspect was held on Tuesday and remains in custody.

Det Insp Chris Wood, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "We have now made two arrests, but the investigation will continue until we fully understand exactly what happened."
