Paddy McGuinness scrubs Emile Heskey's boots after Twitter bet
Comedian Paddy McGuinness has kept his promise to clean Emile Heskey's boots after the striker scored during his first game for Bolton Wanderers.
Ahead of Heskey's debut, the Take Me Out presenter pledged he would give the player's footwear some elbow grease if he netted after coming on as a sub.
The former England forward, 36, converted fellow veteran Eidur Gudjohnsen's low cross in Bolton's 2-1 win over Blackburn on 26 December.
His last goal in England came in 2011.
McGuinness said the bet, made on Twitter, was not a "negative thing" but he did have initial doubts about Heskey's fitness.
Speaking to Heskey at the club's training ground, the Bolton fan said: "If you score every week I will do your full washing, even your underpants!"
The striker said McGuinness had done a "thorough job" in cleaning his boots.
Heskey spent time with Australian A-League side Newcastle Jets before joining Bolton on a short-term contract.
