Boy, 16, charged after Tameside terror raid
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with trying to buy a biological toxin, following anti-terror raids in Greater Manchester.
The boy, who was detained with a girl, 16, on Monday in Mossley, will appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
He is accused of attempting to acquire a biological toxin or agent contrary to the Criminal Attempts Act 1981.
No further action will be taken against the girl, police said.
Greater Manchester Police said there was no intelligence or evidence to suggest that communities within the Mossley or Greater Manchester area were at risk in relation to the investigation.
