Rochdale skull find: Foul play ruled out by police

Police have ruled out foul play after a skull and other human remains were discovered in woodland in Greater Manchester.

Officers were called to a wooded area near Albert Royds Street, Rochdale on Tuesday after a teenager found a skull.

More human remains were found after the scene was sealed off and forensic examinations were carried out.

Greater Manchester Police said a post-mortem examination found "no evidence of third-party involvement".

It is currently unclear how long the remains had been at the site.
