Two men have died after a car travelling at high speed crashed into two parked vehicles.

Police in Manchester spotted the Audi on Wilbraham Road, Whalley Range at 03:15 BST on Wednesday.

Two men were pronounced dead at the scene and three others were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission because the car was seen by police before it crashed.

The crash occurred close to Whalley Range High School.
