Boy, 4, hurt after advertising board collapses at Manchester Airport
A four-year-old boy was taken to hospital after an advertising hoarding fell on him at Manchester Airport.
The incident happened at about 07:50 BST in Terminal One.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said the boy was treated at the scene for ankle and head injuries before being taken to Wythenshawe Hospital.
The airport confirmed a full investigation into the incident will now take place.
A Manchester Airport spokesman said: "We can confirm that a passenger suffered an injury in Terminal One this morning.
"The passenger was tended to by our staff and paramedics and has been taken to hospital. A full investigation into the incident will now take place."
