Fred Talbot jailed for further sex assault
Former TV weatherman Fred Talbot has been jailed for a further sex assault.
Talbot, 67, will now have to serve a further eight months for indecently assaulting a male aged 16 or over on 7 June 1980.
The ex-ITV This Morning weather presenter is currently serving a four-year sentence for sex assaults on boys he took on school trips when he was a biology teacher in Greater Manchester.
It followed a five-year term in 2015 for indecently assaulting boys.
Talbot, from Bowdon, appeared at Manchester Crown Court via videolink for sentencing.
He admitted the offence - which police said took place in Trafford and was reported in February 2015 - at a previous hearing.
Talbot has previously denied all charges of historical sexual offences.
In 2015 he was found guilty after a three-week trial of indecently assaulting two 14-year-old pupils from Altrincham Grammar School in 1975 and 1976.
In May he was convicted of seven indecent assaults committed during 1978 and 1981.
Talbot was a regular on the floating weather map in Liverpool's Albert Dock for ITV's This Morning show during the late-1980s and early-1990s.
