Teenager arrested after man shot in Liverpool

Detectives have arrested a teenager in connection with the shooting of a 45-year-old man in Liverpool.

Emergency services found the man with injuries to his left thigh after being called to a house on Croxdale Road, Page Moss, on Sunday.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and it is unclear where or when his injury was sustained.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in Page Moss on possession of a firearm on Monday afternoon.

Officers also recovered a firearm during a search of the property where the youth was arrested.

Merseyside police are currently working to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
