Motive for Croxteth shooting 'is unclear', say police
Detectives investigating the shooting of a 28-year-old man in Liverpool have said the motive is unclear.
Officers believe the 28-year-old, who was taken to hospital on Thursday evening, was shot in the stomach in the Stonedale Crescent area of Croxteth.
The area has been cordoned off for forensic examinations and officers are looking for CCTV from the area. House-to-house inquiries are also under way.
The man's condition is described as serious but not life-threatening.
Officers have spoken to two other men who are thought to have been with the victim at the time of the shooting.
"At this early stage of the investigation officers are unclear as to the motive for this shooting," said a spokeswoman.
