Four boys stabbed in Weighing Machine in Wavertree
Four teenage boys and a 26-year-old man have been stabbed after a gang of six attacked them in a Liverpool pub.
A 15-year-old suffered stab wounds to his torso and a 16-year-old was slashed in the face in the fight in the Weighing Machine in Wavertree on Friday night. The pair are still in hospital.
The other three casualties suffered minor injuries.
Merseyside Police said officers were pursuing a closure order on the pub.
Police believe the brawl happened because of an argument between the two groups earlier in the evening.
Det Con Tracy Hayes said: "This was an extremely nasty attack and two of the victims received extensive injuries.
"Due to the serious nature of the attack and the violence used we are keen to trace any potential witnesses who could lead to the arrest of those responsible."
